Dhaka Division is the heart of Bangladesh. It holds the capital city and many important landmarks. Getting here from Dhaka city is simple because you are already inside the division. Most visitors start in the capital itself. To explore other parts, you take local transport. Buses run from Dhaka to nearby towns like Narayanganj and Gazipur. The rides take one to two hours. Trains also connect Dhaka to places like Mymensingh and Tangail. The trip is comfortable and cheap. For Sonargaon, the historic city, you take a bus or CNG from the capital. It is about an hour away. The roads are busy but direct. You can also hire a private car for more flexibility. The division has many cultural hubs. Old Dhaka’s narrow lanes and Mughal buildings are a must-see. The National Museum and Lalbagh Fort are easy to reach by rickshaw or taxi. From the airport, you can take a prepaid taxi to any part of the division. The whole area is well connected by roads and rail. You will not need a complex plan to move around.
